On the First International Day of Dialogue: Masarat Celebrates the Knights of Dialogue Team

On the occasion of the first International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations, declared by the United Nations last year and endorsed by more than 80 countries, which aims to promote mutual solidarity, intercultural dialogue, and global cohesion while highlighting cultural diversity, we at Masarat Foundation are pleased to celebrate the Knights of Dialogue team.

The Knights of Dialogue team, launched two months ago, is the first of its kind in Iraq and the region, with the mission of promoting dialogue among Iraq’s diverse communities. The initiative began with the “With Dialogue We Endure and Rise” camp, implemented by Masarat Foundation in partnership with KAICIID and the House of Coexistence.

The team comprises youth from Sinjar, Baghdad, Basra, Dhi Qar, Nineveh, and Salah al-Din. In May, they embarked on a tour covering several Iraqi cities, where they explored the country’s social, ethnic, and religious components, its geography, symbols, and landmarks. The program aims to strengthen their understanding of Iraq’s diverse cultures and to utilize this knowledge as a mechanism for building peace among followers of different religions and for rejecting hate speech.
