As part of efforts aimed at promoting dialogue and confronting hate speech among Iraqi communities, Saad Salloum, General Coordinator of Masarat Foundation, met with Dana Asaad, the political representative of Qubad Talabani in Baghdad and Head of the Secretariat of President Mam Jalal.
The meeting discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, most notably the mechanisms and outcomes of monitoring and analyzing Arab–Kurdish hate speech in media outlets and social media platforms, as well as the importance of utilizing monitoring results to support public policies and promote responsible discourse.
The meeting also explored prospects for developing the Arab–Kurdish dialogue project and strengthening its institutional pathways, in addition to the stages of establishing the “Mam house ” project in Baghdad as a platform for dialogue.
The discussion further addressed ways to enhance dialogue exchanges between “Mam house ” and Masarat Foundation, in coordination with institutions concerned with dialogue, in a way that contributes to building sustainable platforms for communication and exchange of expertise.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing joint work between research institutions and dialogue initiatives in order to strengthen trust, reduce hate speech, contribute to social stability, and build inclusive narratives based on citizenship and the protection of religious pluralism.
