Masarat Foundation for Cultural and Media Development awarded the Positive Digital Impact Certificate to Sayyid Dr. Zaid Bahr Al-Uloom in recognition of his role in promoting a moderate, hate-free digital discourse throughout 2025.

A special recognition ceremony was held at Dar Al-Ilm of Imam Al-Khoei in Najaf, opening with a speech by Dr. Saad Salloum, President of Masarat Foundation, who reviewed the key milestones of Sayyid Bahr Al-Uloom’s career and highlighted his contribution to promoting the values of dialogue and moderation in both religious and digital spaces.

The ceremony continued with an open dialogue moderated by Dr. Amna Al-Dhahabi, during which Sayyid Zaid Bahr Al-Uloom discussed his approach to the religious sphere and the intellectual and ethical principles that shape his public discourse.

Sheikh Hussein Al-Samarrai, a member of the Arab Platform for Dialogue and Cooperation among Religious Leaders, also delivered a testimonial praising Sayyid Bahr Al-Uloom’s experience and his role in promoting balanced and responsible public discourse.

A delegation from the House of Coexistence in Sinjar also attended the ceremony. Dr. Mirza Dinnayi delivered a speech emphasizing the moderation and acceptance of others that characterize Sayyid Bahr Al-Uloom’s discourse, noting that it represents a clear example of Najaf’s national religious approach toward religious minorities. Testimonials were also delivered by distinguished cultural and academic figures, including Dr. Fares Haram and Dr. Muntaser Al-Hassnawi.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the Positive Digital Impact Certificate to Sayyid Bahr Al-Uloom, recognizing him as the first religious figure among 2,000 personalities monitored during 2025 whose content and online interactions contained no recorded hate speech.

In addition, a group of women participating in the Dialogue, Citizenship, and Acceptance of Others Education Programs presented samples of handmade products created during the summer camps organized under these initiatives. The event also highlighted the importance of supporting initiatives and individuals who promote the values of tolerance, coexistence, and the fight against hate speech.
