Masarat participates in the Containment Initiative Conference

Masarat Foundation for Cultural and Media Development participated in the closing conference of the Containment Initiative organized by the Al-Widad Organization for Women and Children in Salah al-Din in collaboration with the Al-Amal Association and Pax Organization.

The conference discussed issues related to the disappeared and forcibly missing individuals from the province.

Mr. Ayoub Hassan, a member of Masarat Foundation, participated in managing the conference sessions, which included listening to updates on the victims’ stories and mechanisms for conveying them to decision-makers and executive bodies in the province.

Mr. Morteza Makki, a member of Masarat Foundation, presented an explanatory summary about the attention the foundation gives to women and children, showcasing examples of Masarat’s programs that contribute to their integration into annual activities held in several Iraqi provinces under the citizenship education program, such as camps, gatherings, and mutual visits among residents of cities from different ethnicities.

The conference also discussed ways to activate cooperation between civil society organizations and government entities to support this affected community segment from the events that followed years of war, conflict, and the terrorism that most Iraqi cities have experienced.
