Al-Basheer Show Rated First for 65% of Iraqi People

TV Show presenter Ahmed Al-Basheer rated first as the most followed and most viewed presenter in Iraq in a survey conducted MASARAT Institution for Cultural and Media Development to know the orientations and opinions of  Iraqi people as per the media and TV show presenters.

65.4% of the surveyed sample said they watch and follow Ahmed Al-Basheer for his program titled “Al-Basheer Show” which is aired by DW. Ahmed Mulla Talal, a TV talk show presenter, gained 11.6%  of the sample. Then came Wajeeh Abbas with a percentage of 9.8%  of the followers surveyed, followed by Anwar Al-Hamadani with 8.2%. About 5% of the survey sample varied in opinions and said they follow some other TV show presenters with little and insignificant percentages.

This survey is part of a campaign to combat the discourse of hatred in Iraqi media outlets and organs launched by MASARAT Institution. Other findings and results of analysis will be published successively.
