Al-Fallouja Hosts the First Bike Race

MASARAT Institution for Cultural and Media Development launched the first bike race in the City of Fallouja since its liberation from Daesh. The Race which started in the main street of the city, was arranged in cooperation with the Directorate of Education of Al-Anbar Province and the UNICEF in context of Life Skills Development Program to enhance the values of participation and peace building. The race witnessed the participation of 877 racer of various age groups, and a large presence of people, educational directorates in the province, and administrations of schools of the bikers. Dr. Amina al-Dhahabi, MASARAT Executive manager and the supervisor of activity said that the large participation of the youth of Fallouja in such activities indicate their desire of life and their openness to all collective activities, and this is another indication to their rejection of extremism in this city whose people encountered difficult days under extremism. At the end of the race, trophies and tokens of participation were given to all participants by Mr. Mohammed Salih Mohammed, DG of Directorate of Education, and Sury Al-Rawi, MASARAT representative, whishing them continuous success and well being and prosperity for their city and entire Iraq as well.
