In an Attempt to Enact a Law for Protecting Displaced People, Masarat Cooperates with Parliament’s Human Rights Committee

A delegate of Masarat Foundation for Cultural and Media Development has met Haji Condor, a representative of Yazidis in the Iraqi parliament and vice-president of parliament’s human rights committee.They held a wide meeting in which Amina al-Dahabi, chief of the delegate, posed the amendments that a number of experts suggested for the law of crises management and protection of displaced people.Condor appreciated civil society role in helping find a law for military and natural disasters, saying that this law is essential for keeping Iraqis dignity and their property during crisis times.On the other hand, Condor helped Masarat got signatures of 50 parliament’s representatives in support of the law.Occasionally, a number of Nineveh’s provincial council’s representatives have attended the meeting, and expressed their support for Masarat efforts in this regard.
