Masarat Goes on with its Effort to Enact a Law for Managing Crises and Protecting Iraq Displaced People

 Masarat Foundation for Cultural and Media Development held a wide meeting with Hanin Qaddo, vice-president of parliament’s migration and displacement committee,They discussed means of bringing the abovementioned law into parliament approval, stressing that Masarat seeks to pass the law, as it meant to keep Iraqis dignity. Therefore, the meeting discussed a draft of the law and suggested some amendments to it.Saad Salloum, general coordinator of Masarat, talked on the legal and humanitarian motives behind that law, In addition to its serious consequences, underlining the role of law in terms of countering corruption hindering tasks of committees dealing with crises.Qaddo said that he is supporting the law, and it is possible that the law will be included in next sessions of parliament’s agenda.On the other hand, Qaddo appreciated Masarat critical role in drawing public attention into displaced people’s concerns and keeping iraqi diversity.
