Iraqi British Spiritual meeting to face violence

Masarat foundation for cultural and media development and The Iraqi interfaith dialogue Council and Integrity organization in London have organized the Iraqi British Spiritual meeting to face violence and exposing the terrorist actions of the ISIS organization. The activity in SabainMandaean’sMandi in Al-Qadsia district in Baghdad, it included a meeting between members of Islamic religious leaders, imams and preachers delegation of Britain, and the representatives of SabainMandaeans, Yazidis and Chrisitians. SaadSalloum the chairman of Masarat foundation for cultural and media development ran the spiritual meeting pointing out that the purpose of the meeting is to strengthen and protect the religious minorities in Iraq, we must work with Islamic leaders not only to condemn the action of ISIS but to release a reformation invitation to review of Islamic religious heritage and to issue fatwas to recognize the non-Islamic religious minorities like the SabainMandaeans and the Yazidis.

Before moving on to a press conference to explain the reasons and the goals of the visit, “Satar JabarHelo”the chairman of Mandaean community and spiritual leader of the Mandaeans in Iraqand the world spoke about the situation of the Mandaeans. While the MP of Yazidis in the Parliament “Haji Gandur” stated the situation of the Yazidis, and “Hani Kasto” from the Christian endowment explained the situation of the Christians. According to Sheikh “Mohammed Omar Bin Ramadan” member of the Shura Council in London, the aim of the visit is to transfer the message that ISIS doesn’t represent the Sunnis and the community. Rather they are a terrorist organization and ISIS doesn’t represent any religious and humanitarian value. And the meeting concluded by the prayers of the delegation members under the roof of the Mandi of SabainMandaeans as a symbolic massage to reject the culture and orientations of ISISthat eliminates the other. And “Mustafa Feld” from Integrity foundation in London that organized the delegation’s visit, pointed out that this historic visit is the first of its kind and it will be a preludeto other visits to enhance the mutual understanding and build bridges between religious leaders and religious leaders of the other religions. It is noted that the delegation consisted of seven eminent theologians they are: Sheikh “Mohammad Omar Bin Ramadan”president of the Islamic Unity Gathering and member of Shura Council of the Sunnis in London, Sir “Ahmad TarmadhiShah Saheb” head of Sunnis group in Britain and a Imam of Halifax mosque, and “Ghazi Abd Al-Aziz Jasti”Secretary-General of the Centre of the Sunnis and the imam of the Islamic Relief charity in Britain. And “Maulana Mohammad Ansar” theologian of Galilee from the British town of Hempstead, and the theologian of Islam “Haji Muhammad Farooq”, and “MohamadSeddiq” Consultant of the Ramadan Charity Foundation in London, and the theologian “Peer Syed KaramatShah Sahib” from the city of Trent, Britain.
