In collaboration with the Canadian embassy, Masarat Foundation for Cultural and Media Development held a wide conference to fight the hatred in Iraq in particular.

Representatives of all Iraqi religious minorities, clerics of Muslims, representatives of the UN and diplomatic delegations in Iraq, and representatives of the Iraqi legislative, executive, and judicial powers have participated in the conference.

The conference was ended with launching declaration of Baghdad to counter the hatred in Iraq and the Middle East in January /30/2016.

125 persons from Baghdad, Erbil, Basra, Kirkuk, Najaf,Sulaymaniyah,DhiQar, and Maysanhave taken part in the conference. Consequently, a wide coalition included representatives of all Iraqi religious minorities was established in that conference.

To counter attempts of disintegrating societies, and build national identities based on principles of unity in diversity and different people with equal rights, declaration of Baghdad was issued. This declaration coincided withMarrakesh’s declaration for rights of religious minorities in the Muslim world.
