UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Iraq

Jan Kubis welcomed Iraqi Council for Interfaith Dialogue’s delegation headed by SayyidJawad Al-Khoie, rotary head of that council. After discussing the current activities of the council, Al-Khoie gave a detailed elucidation with reference to shared jobs between the UN and thecouncil, means of promoting peaceful coexistence in Iraq, and role of the UN in this regard. Your job with respect to studies, workshops, conferences, and documentary films gives direct support to the delegation of the UN in Iraq. SaadSalloum, a member of Iraqi Council for Interfaith Dialogue, and general coordinator of Masarat Foundation for Cultural and Media Development, also gave a detailed account on Masarat’scurrent and future plans, which constitutes an important part of the council. Amina Al-Dahabi, secretary of the council, explained the reasons behind forming minority’s women department and short and long-term working plans. Members of the UN and the council attended the meeting.
