Today marks the ninth anniversary of Masarat Foundation receiving the Award for the Defense of Pluralism in the Arab World.
At the time, the Masarat family held a quiet gathering for friends to celebrate the occasion. The event was honored by the presence of two distinguished guests: Dr. Fanar Haddad from the National University of Singapore, and Professor Abdul Jabbar Issa from Al-Mustansiriya University.
Members of the Board of Directors also participated in the evening, including Ms. Nadia Fadel, Head of the Women of Minorities Department, Dr. Nazem Al-Jassour, Dr. Ali Taher Al-Hamoud, and Dr. Amina Al-Dhahabi, along with a number of friends and members of the Foundation’s staff.
This occasion served to renew the spirit of work at Masarat after more than twenty years of defending pluralism, dialogue, and citizenship. Masarat also affirms that its journey is still at the beginning, and that every effort made in support of pluralism and dialogue opens a window of hope for a better future, and that it will remain faithful to its values regardless of changing circumstances.
