شارك ٦٧ طفلا ٥٠ امرأة من مختلف الاديان والقوميات العراقية في زيارة الى كنيسة ماركوركيس التاريخية في مدينة عنكاوة.
وتعرف المشاركون على الثقافة المسيحية والعادات والطقوس الكنسية واستمعوا لترانيم ومحاضرات قدمها القائمون على خدمة الكنيسة التي تعد الاقدم في اربيل. واشعل المشاركون في الفعالية الشموع وهم يدعون الله ليعم الامن والسلام في ربوع العراق.
وكانت زيارة الكنيسة واحدة من فعاليات برنامج مخيم التربية على التنوع وتعزيز ثقافة قبول الاخر الذي اطلقته مؤسسة مسارات للتنمية الثقافية والاعلامية، بمشاركة اطفال وامهات ومعلمات من وسط وجنوب العراق، التحقت معهن مجموعة اخرى من نساء واطفال الموصل واربيل واستمر ثلاثة ايام.
