With the participation of 67 children and 50 women of various religions and ethnicities, a visit was organized to the historic Saint George’s Church in Ankawa city, which is considered to be the most ancient in Erbil.
The participants were introduced to the Christian culture and the traditions and rituals of the church. Moreover, the attendees listened to hymns and lectures that were performed by those in charge of the church. Also, the participants lit candles while praying to God to bring safety and peace to Iraq.
The visit was one of many activities of the
campaign concerning coexistence and supporting the act of acceptance of one another that was founded by Masarat Institution for culture and media development for three days with the participation of many children, mothers, and teachers from all around Iraq.
