Number of volunteers to combat hate speeches in Sulaymania city reaches 54 trainees. They received capacity building in three workshops commenced last April and concluded this week, in cooperation with Kurdistan for All Organization.
MCMD aims to train 800 volunteers to observe, analyze and combat hate speeches in all parts of Iraq to work in the team of the National Center for Combating Hate Speeches in Iraq, launched last March, supported by supported by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung of Germany. Participants in these workshops are expected to join the three departments of the Center to receive some more specialized training courses in monitoring, analyzing and treating hate speeches conveyed to the people through the media channels, religious pulpits and political platforms.
