Within the context of Combating Hate Speeches Program, the National Center for Combating Hate Speeches convened five basic workshops in Erbil and Dohuk Provinces, with the participation of 125 volunteers from the Yazidi and Christian communities, in addition to Muslim, Christian and Yazidi clergymen. Participants received extensive courses for two days on the mechanisms of observing, analyzing and confronting hate speeches.
It is worth stating that this training course is part of a campaign launched by MCMD with the support of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung aiming to train 800 volunteers who are qualified to monitor hate speeches in the media channels, the social media and in the social and political religious discourse.
