Iraqi media professionals discuss minority press freedoms

Within the framework of enacting a law for minority rights, a number of media professionals discuss minority press rights. This workshop was held by Masarat. Saad Salloum, the general coordinator of Masarat mentioned some articles with press fields, saying that poor rights in this field could promote minority marginalization, stressing the serious importance of bringing minority rights law into light. Ali Wjih, coordinator of press committee at the law project, said that the role of media professionals is critical to uniting opinions before bringing the law into parliament. On the other hand, this law could be the last chance to keep diversity in Iraq.Occasionally, over the last month, Masarat has completed a law draft for keeping minority rights, and it is preparing for getting it into parliament.
