Masarat took part in Georgetown University’s conference on ISIS’s threats to minorities.Saad Salloum, general coordinator of Mssarat, shed lights on a strategy to rebuild minority trust in post-ISIS period, saying that the victory against ISIS might not bring the requested peace.Masarat has already suggests a number of reforms on political, economic and cultural levels to fight ISIS and get minority trust. To get fruits of military victory and root out ISIS presence in post-ISIS period, Masarat has suggested an integrative instrument consisting of three ways:-From a psychological perspective: It is critical to retrieve minorities trust in the state entirely so that they can participate in the political process effectively. From an economic perspective: It includes repairing their basic infrastructures and providing them with serious services. These moves could attract their attention into their country instead of thinking of leaving Iraq. From a reformist perspective: It is key to start implementing a package of reforms, such as social conciliation, fighting corruption, root out laws oppressing minorities, and joining Roma system for international criminal court, recognizing minorities that the Iraqi constitution does not mention.
