Participants in the “We Stay and Elevate” dialogue camp visited the shrine of Imam Abu Hanifa Al-Nu’man (may Allah be pleased with him) in the city of Al-A’damiyah in Baghdad.
After the visit, the participants held a discussion circle near the shrine, where they conversed about the commonalities between religions and sects that encourage dialogue and acceptance of others.
Each participant in the camp presented their religion’s and sect’s philosophy regarding dialogue, in an experience through which Masarat Foundation aims to bring perspectives closer, focus on commonalities, and familiarize participants with each other through shared coexistence and field visits among the youth.
It is noteworthy that the “We Stay and Elevate” dialogue camp started in Baghdad with the participation of youth from Sinjar, who were joined by youth from Baghdad in its first phase. The campers will continue their tour in other cities in Iraq soon as part of a program aimed at promoting dialogue as a mechanism for building peace among followers of different religions and rejecting hate speech.
