A Lebanese academic delegation visited Masarat, which included Dr. Eli Haddad, President of the Baptist Theological College, and Professor Rabi Minister, Assistant Pastor of the Baptist Church in Beirut, along with Pastor Dr. Ara Badlian, President of the National Evangelical Baptist Community and visiting lecturer at the Arab Baptist Theological College.
During the visit, the activities of Masarat were presented, focusing on its citizenship education program, monitoring hate speech, and the possibility of exchanging experiences in managing diversity between the Lebanese and Iraqi contexts.
The General Coordinator of Masarat shared the experience of establishing the Diversity Studies Institute in Iraq and the organization’s expertise in Christian-Muslim dialogue since 2010.
Both parties agreed on potential future cooperation in the fields of interfaith dialogue, citizenship education, and combating hate speech.
At the end of the meeting, Masarat presented souvenirs to the guests from the outputs of the citizenship education program camps.
