Dr. Saad Salloum, the General Coordinator of the Masarat Foundation, chaired the opening session of the conference held by the College of Political Science at Al-Mustansiriya University on dialogue (International and National Experiences on Dialogue from the Perspective of Multi-Track Diplomacy).
Most speakers touched upon the experience of the Masarat Foundation while referring to comparative experiences of dialogue. Advisor Muqdad Al-Nouri from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reviewed the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in dialogue according to the approach of spiritual diplomacy, highlighting the pioneering role of the Masarat Foundation in this context.
Dr. Rami Joseph Agha Jan, head of the Christian, Yazidi, and Mandaean Endowments, presented the experience of religious endowments in dialogue and rapprochement with various components of Iraqi society and the nature of cooperation with the Masarat Foundation.
Dr. Ara Badlian, a professor at the Baptist University in Beirut and a founding member of the Hate Speech Center at the Masarat Foundation, provided a presentation on Christian-Muslim dialogue from an international and regional perspective. Dr. Anas Al-Eisawi, a professor at the Center for Religious Diversity Studies at the Masarat Foundation, focused on presenting the Moroccan experience and the role of international Islamic institutions in dialogue.
Finally, Dr. Walid Al-Baaj from the Imam Hussein Foundation for Dialogue, a partner with the Masarat Foundation in the Islamic-Christian dialogue initiative, compared the Lebanese and Iraqi experiences in dialogue and rapprochement.
