There was also a speech by the General Coordinator of Masarat Foundation about the importance of dialogue journalism and its role in combating hate speech and promoting diversity.
Honoring by Masarat and announcement of the upcoming season
The ceremony included a special honoring of journalists by the Masarat Foundation for Cultural and Media Development (MCMD), the official sponsor of the award in Iraq, in celebration of their outstanding journalistic contributions.
At the end of the ceremony, Masarat Foundation announced its commitment to support the upcoming season of the award, with the initiative being launched by the Foundation’s President Dr. Saad Salloum and its Executive Director Dr. Amina Golden.
Masarat announced its support for the award and the launch of a new season, urging journalists to produce written, audio, and visual journalistic materials in preparation for sharing them throughout the coming year to enter the competition for the second season of the award.
The ceremony concluded with honoring journalists and the launch of the “Tarmim” platform, which will continue to promote the culture of dialogue journalism through its platforms on social media, including its current Facebook page and upcoming accounts to be created on Instagram and X, making it available to all journalists interested in the field of dialogue journalism.
