The general coordinator of the Masarat Foundation briefed the representative of the Holy See at the Vatican Embassy in Baghdad on a part of Iraqi memory through a tour at the House of Books and Documents in Baghdad.
During the tour, the representative of the Holy See was informed about the most prominent documents of the Iraqi state during the royal era, including telegrams of congratulations to King Faisal I, may he rest in peace, on the occasion of his ascension to the throne of Iraq in 1921.
Additionally, there were documents related to religious communities in Iraq, and the presentation included rare maps and documented images of daily life in Mesopotamia at the end of the 19th century and the early decades of the 20th century.
