Young people in Sinjar continue to form a Citizens Against Hate team.

The Masarat Foundation for Cultural and Media Development held a workshop in the city of Sinjar, gathering a select group of the city’s youth, aimed at empowering them to confront hate speech.

The participating volunteers in the workshop received a comprehensive presentation on the definition and types of hate speech dangers and its negative effects on society, as well as the importance of the youth’s role in combating this speech, presented by Mr. Saeed Darbo, a member of the Monitoring and Confrontation Center for Hate Speech in Sinjar.

The workshop, held at the House of Coexistence (Ninth), is part of the Masarat Foundation’s efforts to form a team of activists to combat hate speech, support the community, promote citizenship values, and control the impacts of hate speech on communities throughout Iraq.
