Masarat and its partners announce an international strategy for the prevention of genocides in Iraq

With the attendance of many academics, activists, parliaments, security officials and diplomats, including the officer-in-charge of the Armenian affairs in Baghdad, a forum was held at Rewaq Baghdad Center to announce the plans of starting the international strategy for the prevention of genocides in Iraq.
The general coordinator of Masarat Saad Salloum made a speech indicting the plans and cultural and informational content of the strategy.
On the other hand, the head of UNESCO Chairs Salah Aljabiri announced and introduces the second sector which indicates the role of UNESCO Chairs in the prevention of genocides in the Islamic world at the University of Baghdad.
Finally, the third sector was about the international dimensions of the strategy and it was the share of the head of The International Yazidis Foundation for the Prevention of Genocides Hasso Hiromi who offered in-depth contribution regarding internationalization, he also mentioned that he came all the way from Holland especially to attend this event.
The main forum of the event was managed by the international activist Kamel Zomaya who stated that he traveled all the way from Germany especially to attend the launching of the event.
As it’s important to mention, Masarat, in cooperation with other partners (The Yazidis Foundation for the Prevention of Genocides, UNESCO Chairs, ATO organization for human rights, and CAO organization in Erbil) was developing an outline for the strategy for almost a year. The strategy was assigned for the next few months of the current year to be nationally discussed.
