MSMD Conducts a Meeting of Iraqi Religious leaders Under the Slogan: “All of Us Before God to Say the Right Word in Combating Radical Discourse in the Name of Religion.”

At the invitation of Patriarch Louis Raphaël I Sako, a meeting was held at 10 am on Thursday, 1 March 2018, at the Church of St. Yousif of the Chaldean / Karrada District, with some well-known Muslim figures (Shiites and Sunnis), Christians and representatives of Sabean Mandaean  and the Yezidis, as well as the three Endowments Councils, under the slogan: “All of Us Before God to say  the Right Word in combating Radical Discourse in the Name of Religion.”   

The meeting was organized by MSMD represented by Mr. Saad Salloum, MSMD General Coordinator. Salloum pointed  to MSMD’s intention to organize a meeting in Beirut to launch a center for Combating hate. The outcomes of today’s meeting will be the directives towards Beirut’s Founding Meeting.
