Partnership Meeting Between Adyan Institution and MASARAT

April 20, a meeting was conducted in MASARAT Institution with Adyan Institution of Lebanon to establish a partnership between them. The meeting coincided with the celebration of the Resurrection by Christians and the new Yazidi year, as well as the Rudhwan Day of the Bahai’is. Father Fadi Dhu, Director of Adyan Institution, in this visit to MASARAT Institution, met with some representatives of Iraqi diversity and peacemakers in order to identify the basic challenges which may draw the guidelines of partnership among the most prominent institutions caring for diversity in Lebanon and Iraq. Father Fadi emphasized the importance of joint work to establish a citizenship which foster cultural diversity in both countries. The participants in the meeting all highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise in fields of legislations, religious dialogues, educational curriculum design and training programs concerned with freedom of belief. MASARAT has great expectations from the outputs of this partnership to draw a road map to enhancing diversity and a model of citizenship which may embrace and foster diversity in both countries.
