College of Islamic Sciences hosts Iraqi council for interfaith dialogue

College of Islamic sciences hosted a conference of the Iraqi council for interfaith dialogue held at the headquarters of the university in the presence of members of the council under the title (the creative diversity and the road map to promote pluralism in Iraq). Participation the teachers of the college of Islamic sciences and the Specialists in the religion, Jurisprudence, and College students.

Member of the council gave a brief explanation about the council strategy to promote the pluralism , minorities protection in Iraq , the father Ameer jaje introduced  a paper research about the Curriculum and the need to fix it ,  explained the importance of students’ knowledge of other religions he said that curriculum is not limited to one religion , sheikh Raad al_geelany member of the council introduced  a paper research explained  in it the importance of interfaith dialogue and promote the pluralism in Iraq , then Mr. Saad salloum member of the council ,the general coordinator of Masarat for cultural and media development ,introduced  a paper research about the road map to the protection of minorities.

After that member of the council introduced a suggestion about the possibility of teaching comparative religions in colleges which teaching the Jurisprudence and Islamic religion, then opened the dialogue with the attendants to reach a joint formula save the cultural pluralism in the country.

It is worth mentioning that Masarat for cultural and media development is one of the founders of the Iraqi council for interfaith dialogue.
