The Department of Relations with Civil Society Organizations at the Integrity Commission discusses anti-corruption with civil society.

The Masarat Foundation for Cultural and Media Development participated in the specialized seminar (The Role of Democratic Systems in Combating Corruption) organized by the Ishtar Center for Democracy Support in collaboration with the Integrity Commission in Baghdad.

Ms. Zainab Jassim, a constitutional law specialist at the Federal Integrity Commission, provided a brief summary of the national framework for enhancing anti-corruption efforts, while Dr. Mohammed Alawiya, head of the Ishtar Center, presented the role of civil society organizations in this area.

Participants in the session discussed ways and mechanisms that could enhance anti-corruption efforts in terms of legislation according to the Iraqi constitution and law.
