The ICID delegation has briefed their actual and future projects in the field of interfaith dialogue and the sustainability of diversity in Iraq.From his side, the French ambassador has presented the most prominent fields for common work in the context of dialogue amongst followers from different religions; explaining that the hard times Iraq is going through are expected consequences which all the countries that went through tough conflicts and bloody wars have faced; and emphasizing that civil work and the efforts of religious men could be absolutely effective in healing from those consequences.Sayed Jawad Al-Khoei; member of the council said that the experience of the ICID stems from the belief of its founders in the necessity of active communication among followers from different religions and cultures in Iraq as a fundamental way for peaceful co-living.His eminence added that the French institution in Iraq must be re-inaugurated to play its part as a platform of communication and reconnaissance between the Iraqi and the French culture.Whilst, Mr. Saad Salloum; member of the council and the general coordinator of Masarat Foundation for Culture and Media Development (MCMC); has indicated that the soft power plays a essential role in the stabilization of the Iraqi-French relations; especially in the cultural fields by making visits of French intellectuals to Baghdad as well as cultural and educational exchange, calling for enhancing this exchange though the co-activities between the French Institute and the ICID in the next years.Also, Father Amir Jaje op., member of ICID and the councilor of the Pontifical Council of Interreligious Dialogue (PCID), Dr. Amina Al-Dahabi; secretary of ICID and the executive director of MCMC and Sayed Haydar Al-Khoei, the researcher in the European Council on Foreign Relations were present in this reception.
